angst.
i saw a purple sky the other day. it was very lovely. i'm quite sure sookun will die to catch a glimpse of it, haha.
anyhow i was wondering, would someone who's colour-blind be able to see, or rather tell the difference between, say, the colours in the spectrum as seen in a rainbow? i know alex is colour-blind, but he's able to differentiate between the obvious colour differences. however, it surprised me a little when he thought my dark grey pen was green in colour? haha, he also mistook lok's blue highlighter for his purple one. then a thought crossed my mind that maybe these unfortunate colour-blind people do not see exactly the different colour tones and shades like how we do. perhaps to them, all the colour variations are only different shades of grey? i mean, we're not colour-blind so we'd never know the colour-blinded's(!) perspective on colours.
imagine! to tell the difference between yellow and orange, the former would be a bright and light shade of grey, whereas the latter would be a darker form of grey? black would still be black, but it'd be hard to differentiate between dark grey and green because both colours show an almost similar shade of grey?
imagine a world without colours..
that's quite depressing isn't it. all day long, yu see nothing but grey. i certainly hope that isn't the case for the colour-blinded people! i'm so glad God blessed me with the ability to see colours :)
doubt i've mentioned - my pillowcase is dark brown in colour! haha, it looks queer!

i didn't go to school today. felt feverish since yesterday so i conveniently excused myself from school, haha. but i panicked a bit just now when i checked today's timetable. we had math lecture!! and i conveniently missed out the introduction of complex numbers too. hope i'll be able to catch up. i haven't been doing my work since the start of CNY, haha. dr rahman almost blew up at our class for not doing the hydroxy and carbonyl compounds concept maps. the prospect of getting into trouble with teachers because of my severe disability to focus fills me with dread.
i was a bit down in the dumps yesterday. the reason behind the sudden outburst of moodiness is quite perplexing. plus my thumping head didn't help.
i won't forget what mrs lopez once told us. she was going through social studies, the chapter on venice, when she said, "absolute power corrupts absolutely". it only hit home when i'm starting to see some people transform (for the worse) just because they are in power. it can be an ugly sight, but it's upsetting as well. especially when these people
arewere your close friends?
dinner soon, i won't continue any longer. hope things will take a turn for the better.
"it's not important to be superior to others. but it's important to be superior to your former self."
have yu evolved today?
(haha, i sound so cheesy)
