Yuletide greetings.

Christmas eve! how time flies. a year ago, i was still kicking up a tremendous fuss about pampers eating kangaroo meat. old father time should slow down sometimes, i don't want school to reopen! i've ONLY touched math so far. heh, is anyone nice enough to offer me some professional help? i know abigail's gonna take chem AND math S-papers! she's a mutant can. i never knew she takes grade 8 piano also la! haha, AND she can scream very loudly. she's like everything i'm not! ahha, with the exception of the screaming part perhaps. i need brains from people like her. especially since i'm going up to j2 next year, and that's like in a few days' time. how depressing!

studies aside, i've yet to blog about the week's happenings! haha so, this is gonna be a boring entry. sorry but i'm in a must-blog mood so pardon me.

MONDAY! + we had band because we needed to touch our instrus after a week's hiatus lest we sounded horrible since we were gonna have the tune-in the next day. we tried jap graf 5 and it.. superultramajorly sucked to the core! haha, i have much to say about the core but i'll go to that later. yes, jap graf 5 was horrifyingly played. the first clarinet's score is littered with superbly high notes that are impossible to reach most of the time. maybe i exaggerate, but really. yu should listen to us. yu may never live to see hear the daylight.

ms sia didn't come so yosua took us for the whole combine. this is the first time i'm saying this, but time really crawled then. i was sooo looking forward to the end of combine cause i was rather disgusted, especially by my own high notes. we played noah's ark too and i felt that somehow, we've lost that competition feel to the piece. we played without any drive at all, and yu can imagine how lousily we sounded. it's really quite saddening to hear that drop in standard, when it's only been less than two weeks when we went up to genting and shone like the brightest star in the universe. haha, yeah right. pardon my gay expressions.

right then. after band (hooray hooray), we strode purposefully up to tampines mall for a well-deserved lunch. met geraldine and her wildly-highlighted hair! we had some trouble deciding where to head to after lunch, but we ended up going to benny's in the end. that trip to benny's gave eggs a whole new definition =) it's quite heart-wrenching actually, because i used to like eggs due to weebl and bob.

this is weebl.

and this is bob, his dear son.

cute, aren't they? haha. i have a rather nice collection of eggs too! but i shall only put one up here cause the picture's a little too big.

nice right?! tsk, but i digress. to get back to what i was saying, i don't like eggs that much anymore. especially century eggs and those red-coloured ones people give out when their babies reach the ripe old age of one-month. haha, i shall move on to talking about the core since i don't exactly want to elaborate much on the eggs anymore. they say, a change is as good as a rest. so there =)

so, the core! yes, we watched that movie. unless yu take geography and physics, it would be quite tough to understand the movie actually. okay, maybe i was sleepy thus explaining my inability to comprehend certain parts of the movie. but the show was pretty alright. though i strongly disapprove of the fact that the core (pun intended) people died one after another. thankfully i didn't become hysterical from all that excitement as they approached the core. after the movie, we stayed on till a quarter past nine cause sarah and juling wanted to rush home to watch the subsequent parts of the new 9pm show. tv junkies!

TUESDAY+ band tune-in! had quite a bit of sec fours coming. our section was about to burst at the seams cause there were so many of us. ahha, having five first clarinetists isn't a very pleasant thing when we were playing jap graf 5. i believe yu can understand my sorrow. needless to say, combine was an utter waste of time. other than the fact, the sec fours managed to play with the band for the first time. i truly hope they weren't frightened off by our gross sounds/noises.

WEDNESDAY+ sk, melissa and i were supposed to make our way to tkgs to visit our juniors but esk ps-ed us, so melissa and i went ahead without her. it was sheer coincidence that xy was going back to tkgs on that day too. legend cancelled her plans to kayak (and keep healthy) so she dropped by at TK too. so, 3/4 of the TOES ; were there.

the juniors improved, me thinks. the percussion section swept me off my feet absolutely cause they were so.. impressive. haha, they hardly received any scoldings from ms sia can. yu should have seen eunice and gang. the timpani, snare and xylophone parts were like WOW, haha. trombones were good too. the clarinets' moving notes were fine but i think they can improve on their tone still. i didn't know they were playing dancing in the wind too! ahha, but mj's flutes are so much better i swear. oh yes, my new love - second suite in F for band! i heard tkgs' only playing three pieces for the concert.

after sitting by the cupboards and getting back+butt aches, we were told by ms sia to go for meat-hunting! haha, it was a tiresome job i swear. on our way out of school, we went enthusiastically MAD and starting taking crazy snapshots! the school and its surroundings changed quite a fair bit cause they re-painted the school grounds and had some new additions. of course, there were some things which remained the same still.

remember this picture?

yeah, xy and i took another picture at the exact same place!

same place, same people, same smiles =)

we went to our band notice board, and guess what! haha the juniors didn't update the board!

tsk! we were really on a photo-taking spree.

sweet memories =)

the sign up there says, "warning! no hanging upside down" but who really cares? melissa tried hanging too, haha. only the photographer didn't cause she's too fat.

we made a trip to videoworld but decided that esso would probably have more snacks for us to choose from so we walked along the corridor, making our way to esso. we reached the end of the corridor only to discover (to our horror) that they removed the ramp and added a step, thus causing xy to trip.

they added a garbage area nearby too, and the passageway ended up being narrower.

they extended the wall dividing the petrol kiosk and the passageway vertically to prevent students from taking shortcuts (must be).

no naked lights! i fondly remember sookun having a private joke about it. haha, they added a series of steps next to the sign, hence uglifying the area. tsk tsk.

i know sookun would like this - they painted the spiral staircases next to the side-gate.. PURPLE!

the school's colours are ugly though.

orange, green and brown. what were they thinking?

ANYWAY, the petrol kiosk - esso. it's pretty much the same. even the lady by the cashier is still there! haha, and they still have their all-year round offer for pokka drinks.

so yes, the trip back to tkgs was a rather insightful one. yu know, esso has jack&jill chicken wings flavoured chips. haha, what nonsense. after chilling out at the bus stop, we went to parkway to hunt for meat! we walked from giant, to cold storage, to ntuc, and finally to the espirito santo gourmet & butchery shop! ahha, i can even remember the name now. we wanted to order two turkeys initially (thank God we didn't because there were too much food at the Christmas lunch anyway) but to our dismay, we found out that the day before was the last day for pre-order of roasted turkeys! so we had to hunt for different kinds of meat to make up for the loss of turkeys. the ntuc ladies were nice and they tried their best to provide us with a turkey but still couldn't eventually. in all, the trip to the butchery shop was the most unforgettable. the person in-charge made us smell the spices in an attempt to promote his roast beef.

we bumped into melissa tan! this' gonna sound absurd but we were hoping that she didn't see us, haha. she still looks scary can. so anyway, we headed home after an evening of meat-shopping, and feasting on venesia's ice creams. long day, wednesday was.

oh yes, i forgot to mention about parkway's toilets! haha i think they are nice =)

don't yu think so?

THURSDAY+ baking session at charity's! ahha, i won't go into the details in order to prevent anyone from vomitting. but i'll probably upload the photos after sarah sends them to me =) till then! the baking session was indeed fun. i got to know my section mates better. i never knew that felicia is so aunty! hahaha, she was trying so hard to come up with differently-shaped cookies! and abigail! the ultimate stress-er, together with lisa of course. and and and, thank God for charity if not the baking wouldn't have been successful. haha, all of us were clueless about baking can! charity saved the day with her magnificent survival skills =)

okay, i lied about the successful baking part. haha our muffins were a complete failure. everything got burnt to the core. and we ended up with cookies only. i heard our cookies were hardcore HARD! people at the Christmas lunch were trying their best to refuse la! pfft, to think that we put in so much effort! (yeah right) hahaha.

sarah and i cabbed to school after making mess at charity's because the band was having auditions for the appeal cases. i tried practising and GOSH, i sounded.. "out of this world". indeed, i sounded like some teeth. boo hoo. legend, gimme some tips! the audition took quite a while before it finally ended. and maan, we were starving! cause most of us skipped lunch. went to tampines mall to buy tickets for the chronicles of narnia, and sk, tsz yan and i snacked at LJS when i met xy! haha, coincidence! she was there with the zoo. apparently they were supposed to buy presents for jessie or something. and they couldn't decide on the earrings so i offered some help. though it turned out that xy and i seemed to have the exact same taste! haha, uncanny coincidence! well, what are best friends for. haha, how gay.

FRIDAY+ CHRISTMAS LUNCH! we had band practice in the morning but justin and i didn't go cause we had to buy and collect the meat from parkway. oh gosh, it was troublesome. the butchery shop forgot our order! so everything was pretty much delayed. ahha, i have to admit it was partly my fault cause i arrived at parkway 1/2 an hour late. deepest apologies yeah.

ms sia picked us up from parkway and by the time we reached school, i'm positive everyone was starving. so, we started the feast! haha, we had a lot and seriously a LOT of food. though the food may not taste fantabulous, i guess all that hassle in the morning was worth it still. everyone looked happy, i think. haha yijun and i had a chicken eating competition and i simply burst. i ate a lot! it was horrifying, yu should have seen me. i wanted to take my weight but there wasn't any weighing machines. took photos too!

we watched the chronicles of narnia and i heard fabian and sk got scolded for laughing too loudly, haha. no, the movie wasn't THAT funny but God knows why were they so tickled. we went to juling's for dinner! ahha, she cooked for us can. i predict she's gonna make a fabulous housewife. a few of us ended up playing charades and it was hell funny. meng yang and i were partners, and we kept losing! but the acting parts were amusing, coupled with all that screaming and excitement. i'm surprised her neighbours didn't complain.

by the time i got home, it was almost eleven. i died on my bed subsequently and only managed to heave myself out of it at TWO PM. haha, sarah says "it's quite horrible to wake up at two".
okay, sorry for the long entry. yu may conveniently skip this entry cause i'm just posting it for my own pleasure =)

MERRY CHRISTMAS ANYWAY =)
