we did cip at far east square today. my first attempt at dumpling selling wasn't too successful. we didn't get to sell much, but the experience is rather memorable. =)
the stall they allocated to us was located at a relatively obscure corner of far east square. and far east square isn't exactly bustling with activity or anything close to that. seriously, who in the right mind would go to chinatown to shop when they can actually go to more happening places which are just a few mrt stops away. so yes. far east square is nothing more than a ghost town, and selling dumplings there was quite a feat. we had to walk around the place to promote the dumplings and more often than not, people threw us weird glances. but hey, we're selling dumplings in the middle of nowhere for charity okay!
we got bored after tending the stall for a while.. so weekiat became mad and started his taking-weird-pictures craze once again.
don't yu agree that he looks sick? he was wearing some sort of a mask bytheway. fancy making fun of china's great patriotic poet!

thank God for xuan wei for bringing cards. we played bridge for a while, and sarah was going crazy with her mini laughing fits. out of the blue, a little boy from some nearby stall came and played bridge with us! how odd. but he's damn cute. =) he refused to tell us his name though. haa. and so, we decided to pack up at six. we had so few customers that we ended up buying the dumplings and eating them up ourselves. heh, we had some trouble initially cause the number of items sold didn't tally with the amount of money we collected. the amount inside the cash box was apparently in surplus. we must have shortchanged some people. hahahah.
i had nothing much to do so i went to doodle on some nonsense. and i actually had the nerve to write our names down. i must have been possessed.

we left the desertedly quiet place at around seven and went to plaza sing to grab a small bite. wanted to take neoprints but xuan wei violently objected to it once again. what's new maan. i don't know why, but funny things always happen when wk's around. yu should have seen sarah laugh when we entered dhoby ghaut mrt station.. haa, sorry i'm too lazy to type out the details. heh. i got home at about ten and i feel dead. it's been quite a long day. and THERE IS SCHOOL TMR..! night. i shall retire to my bed soon.
