it's over. can yu believe it? tarde de la musica is over. time truly flies. the image of us worrying at backstage before the concert is still very vivid in my mind, and before i know it, we're already playing the last page of noah's ark. i can still recall mo biting her nails during intermission, being scared and all. it seemed only like minutes later when we did the TK philosophy. it was our first ever time doing a cheer on stage, and it was our last too. if only i could record down everything that happened yesterday, and memorise every single detail that took place. everything's over too soon, if yu ask me.
i shall try my best to write down what i can remember about the concert.
we met up at pp macdonalds for breakfast/lunch at ten. was writing letters cuz i couldn't finish them the night before, though i slept at three. i only brought the section batchmates presents with me then. but couldn't afford the time for letters too. yeah. so i promised everyone i'll present them with their gifts next week during band fiesta.
after breakfast, pam, xy, jc and i went to roxy square to get flowers for the section. we met shauna there. gosh. the bloody florist took years to learn that we were rushing for time and took ages to give us twenty plus flowers. but we weren't late in the end. managed to reach school slightly before eleven thirty. soon, it was giving-out-presents time. yeah. my juniors were being like angels lavishing us with tons of gifts. and mind yu, the presents are not very cheap i think. i believe they are filthy rich. but thanks loads for everything juniors! i felt like a rotten thing cuz i've got no gifts for the rest except the sec fours. =/ but thankew everyone anyway. :]
after the presents giving session, we had to set up our instrus and get ready to go to vch. had a fall-in before boarding the bus. simeng, jaslyn and jocelyn said some wise words and gave us the comm present. so finally, we managed to lumber up the bus with all the trash bags full of clothings and shoes, our instrus and files. sat with the firsts cuz we had some last mintue scores discussion. then, we reached vch. we were telling the juniors to treasure every single moment cuz it was gonna be our last time playing in a concert there with each other. yeah. it's sad, i know.
we had our rehearsal from one plus all the way to four(?). ms sim told us that ms sia was sick. how saddening. after the rehearsal, our section split into two. the firsts and seconds had our lunch/tea/dinner, while the thirds and basses changed into their ten-piece suit. the food was.. cold and marshy. couldn't tell the difference between the tuna and egg sandwiches. clarissa was being all revealing, not wanting to sit properly. we forced the sandwiches down our throats and made our way to the room to change. heheh. the sec fours were mean. we occupied the changing rooms while the juniors changed outside.
afterwards, we went out to the stamford raffles statue to take an overall band photo. ahh. i stood in an awkward position for so longg until my legs almost gave way. but the time the phototaking session ended, it was nearly five. quickly, we took our instrus and waited for the the third bell to ring. our instrus were terribly cold from all the air con so we had to warm them up, or else we'll be flat.
eventually, the third bell sounded and all of us went up on stage. played under the double eagle, el golpe fatal, sea treaders, and lastly, noah's ark. i was shivering i tell yu. my F# didn't come up in the end at part B for el golpe. felt rather disappointed about that.
so anyways, very soon, it was the interval already. we stood at the same place waiting to the second bell to sound this time. yeah. as i've mentioned, mo was biting her nails cuz she was worried. it's just so fast that the first half was over already. next, we had our second half. i couldn't stop laughing during little mermaid. heheh. clarissa the klutz fell down again!! ms sia told her specifically not to be so clumsy, and she actually tripped over the gong stand! lol. it was absolutely hilarious. i laughed till my stomach ached and i couldn't play properly! :]
so once again, time flew. second half was much more relaxing than the first. but i was anyhow lahh. didn't read the key signature properly then kept on playing the wrong notes. haha. but i enjoyed myself still. i love memory! :)) subsequently, we had an encore and we played latin medley. xy and i were supposed to help carry ms sia's and mr ong's presents but i don't know what happened so we're quite screwed up. we came up for nothing.
thereafter, we did the TK philosophy! oh my. it was totally awesome. the entire concert hall fell silent and watched us do the school cheer. it was very touching. i heard mo cried. wow. it's our first and last time doing it seriously. how nice. then we sang a very off-key if we hold on together. haha. it's so nice, yet sad.
finally, after waiting for the buses for years, we reached school. mdm khoo was being retarded and annoying. she kept on rushing us. i wished she was dead. so after all the hassle, we went for dinner. i was totally drained. i went home, bathed and opened all of the gifts. haha. i know this is gay but i felt like crying after reading all the letters. i then slept at two and died in my dreams and skipped school today. haha. i heard school was fun though. but never mind. i love my section and tkgssb! if only i could turn back time. sigh.
